By joining Star Alliance on 9 September 2025, Lufthansa City Airlines has enabled passengers to enjoy seamless travel and enhanced privileges within the Star Alliance network. As with all Star Alliance member airlines, passengers can check in their baggage to the final destination when traveling on connecting flights booked under a single ticket, including those with Lufthansa City Airlines.

Royal Orchid Plus Platinum and Gold members travel with Lufthansa City Airlines are entitled to exclusive benefits, including priority boarding, additional baggage allowance, and access to over 1,000 lounges worldwide operated by Star Alliance member airlines. As a subsidiary of Lufthansa, Lufthansa City Airlines (IATA code: VL) operates its lounges under Lufthansa's management, and all communications will feature the same logo as Lufthansa.
