THAI is pleased to introduce its Airbus A321neo aircraft, with the first commercial flight scheduled for 22 January 2026 on the Bangkok–Singapore–Bangkok route, departing from Suvarnabhumi Airport. The inaugural flight was operated as flight TG413 by aircraft registration HS-TOA, bearing the royal name “Bowonrungsi”, the first of 32 Airbus A321neo aircraft to join THAI’s fleet.
The Airbus A321neo is a new-generation, narrow-body aircraft, powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines. Its key features include lower fuel consumption and quieter operations, reducing carbon dioxide emissions per seat by up to 20%. The aircraft is also certified to operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
The cabin accommodates a total of 175 seats, comprising 16 Business Class seats (Royal Silk Class) and 159 Economy Class seats. The Royal Silk Class cabin is designed to deliver a widebody-like comfort experience, featuring fully flat beds with 180-degree recline and increased seat pitch. The Economy Class seats are ergonomically designed, with a 110-degree recline and six-way adjustable headrests.
The travel experience is further enhanced with an in-flight entertainment system (IFE) at every seat, featuring 4K resolution touchscreens with Bluetooth headphone connectivity. Passenger convenience is increased with Airspace XL Bins, offering up to 40% more storage capacity, as well as Welcome Ceiling and Cabin Mood Lighting systems to create a pleasant atmosphere throughout the journey.
THAI operates Airbus A321neo aircraft on selected routes within the Asia-Pacific region, enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers. The aircraft will support seamless connectivity between regional and long-haul services through THAI’s route network. Services will commence on the Singapore route (TG413 and TG414), followed by Phuket (TG221 and TG222) and Delhi (TG331 and TG332).
THAI remains committed to continuously modernizing its fleet and enhancing service quality, in order to deliver the best possible travel experience to passengers worldwide.
