THAI Celebrates 65th Anniversary, Sharing Thailand's Cultural Excellence with the World

THAI enters its 65th year delivering excellence in service with the charm and unique identity of Thai culture to people around the world. The airline is committed to developing its services and in-flight products by selecting premium ingredients to create delicious, high-quality meals that reflect Thai wisdom while supporting local entrepreneurs and farmers to enhance the sustainability of the Thai economy through services offering products under the concept "Good Taste for a Good Cause."

"Black Silk Blend" Special Coffee from the Doi Tung Development Project is a premium drip coffee that has been specifically developed with a unique character. Coffee beans grown by local farmers in high mountain areas undergo a meticulous and environmentally friendly selection process. This special coffee is served to Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class passengers on THAI flights to Japan, Korea, Australia, and Europe. Passengers can enjoy and savor the delicate aroma of perfectly roasted and blended coffee beans.

"Kanvela Chocolate" is made from cocoa grown in Thailand and has received international recognition with the International Rising Star Award 2021 from the Academy of Chocolate in England. This reflects THAI’s commitment to conducting business with Thai entrepreneurs who emphasize sustainability by purchasing cocoa produce from local farmers, generating income for communities, and preserving the environment. Since cocoa is a long-term crop, it helps reduce slash-and-burn agricultural practices. Kanvela Chocolate is served to Royal Silk Class passengers on THAI flights to Japan, Korea, Australia, and Europe.

Special Cocktail "Rose of The Royal Voyage" is created through a collaboration between THAI and Silpin, the specialist in creating experiences from scents produced using Thai agricultural ingredients. The fragrance of Chulalongkorn roses grown in Thailand has been crafted into a syrup for this special cocktail, served to Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class passengers on international routes (excluding routes operated by A320 aircraft). THAI introduced this beverage on its first flight resuming the Bangkok-Brussels route, commemorating the historical relationship between Thailand and Belgium during King Rama V's royal visit to Europe.

"Look Jub" Thai Dessert, adapted from the traditional "Look Choop" sweet which is part of Thailand's cultural heritage, features enhanced aromas of various Thai fruits including mangosteen, mango, Siam Ruby pomelo, durian, orange, and lychee. It is served on Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class flights departing from Japan, Korea, Australia, and Europe.

Cruff Premium Mixed Roots & Chips are available to Royal Silk Class passengers on designated flights with a duration exceeding 5 hours. Passengers can enjoy award-winning snacks made from colorful sweet potatoes - purple, orange, yellow, and taro. These Thai-grown sweet potatoes undergo a three-step cooking technique: boiling, frying, and baking, seasoned with premium black truffles from Umbria, Italy. Having received 3 stars from the International Taste Institute, these are the world's first Thai-branded truffle chips to receive such prestigious certification and taste guarantee from the world's leading chefs.

THAI Rice Crackers are offered to Royal Silk Class, premium economy, and Economy Class passengers on routes between Bangkok and Japan, Korea, Beijing, and Shanghai. These traditional Thai snacks are crispy rice crackers made from three varieties of organic Thai rice from Buriram, Chiang Rai, and Pathum Thani provinces. They come in four internationally appealing flavors: garlic and pepper, wasabi, sauerkraut, and Parmesan cheese. This initiative supports local farmers, adds value to Thai rice, and helps bring Thai farmers' produce to the international stage.

Jim Thompson, the renowned Thai silk brand with worldwide recognition, provides amenity kits for Royal Silk Class passengers in Thai silk bags designed with distinctive patterns that beautifully present nature and cultural heritage in contemporary art forms, preserving the silk-weaving traditions of Thai communities. The amenity kits also support eco-friendly concepts by using environmentally friendly and biodegradable materials, along with "Silk Symphony" hand cream, a fragrance specially created by ERB exclusively for THAI.

Caviar Giaveri Siberian Classic, beyond Thai products and food, THAI has elevated its service by serving 10-gram Siberian Classic caviar to Royal Silk Class passengers and 30-gram Beluga Siberian caviar to Royal First Class passengers on flights departing from Europe.

As THAI celebrates its 65th anniversary of connecting Thailand with destinations worldwide, the airline continues to strive to offer excellent products and services to create memorable experiences for passengers and to continue promoting Thai culture internationally.
